Steps to Study Abroad

Choosing where you are going to study abroad can be confusing, before beginning your application for a specific program please follow the steps below.
1.  Complete the Interest Profile
2.  Search for Programs using our search engine on the left panel of this website. Check application deadlines for programs of interest. Wait to apply to them until you have been approved by Capital University to study abroad.

3. Work with your academic advisor on courses needed for degree completion (e.g. courses for major, signature learning or electives) and what courses might be available to fulfill your needs. You will work with your academic advisor to complete the Course Approval Form:  http://file:///C:/Users/jadams/Downloads/SA_course_approval__Fillable%20(2).pdf
5. Complete the budget worksheet and meet with Molly Baumann in the Financial Aid Office with your budget worksheet questionnaire. With this meeting, you will understand what scholarships and financial aid you can apply to your study abroad program.
6. Meet with Jeff Cisco (jcisco@capital.edu) to discuss billing
7. Complete the online application for your desired program by the stated deadline (wait to apply to the program until you have first received university approval.)
7. Explore any scholarship options, deadlines for these applications vary.
